This couple of photos I took during my cyanotype printing session in Far Eastern Russian village in June 2021. It was a foggy day, so every print exposed under the sky for thirty to forty minutes, which is 2-3 times longer than usual. But nevertheless I was excited to try a bunch of new flowers and plants for the prints. I am the happiest version of myself if I test something new! My main goal was to attempt to make ornamental Cyrillic letters out of plants. I have a longing idea to make some lettering art on textile with cyanotype… But we’ll see where this idea will lead me at the end!
