‘Cyanotype’ Quilt

This quilt is based on original cyanotype prints on paper which I made in the Australian rainforest. I wanted to create a light, soft, super cozy plaid blanket in which you can wrap yourself sitting by the fireplace with your favourite book and a cup of cocoa, or take it with you on a picnic. It will become a distinctive element of the decor of any interior. For this quilt, I scanned a collection of cyanotype prints and digitally printed them on fine, durable cotton. It allows the quilt to be used at home and to be washed like a normal quilt, as needed, without fear for the print rubbing off or fading.
