This is my new textile installation called ‘SILENCE’. It is my manifesto exposing possible difficulties for modern artists to express themselves freely and openly. The giant fish on a dramatic black background is a symbol of silence, which personifies my view as an artist on social, cultural and personal problems of modern men. Sometimes only silence can show us the essence of things. Sometimes it is better to save my breath than try to explain, reach some attention, justify, or state my position. Silence becomes the most eloquent and fine way to perceive the world, because through silence a man can truly learn how to listen to himself as well as to others. I really want to use this ‘SILENCE’ to question the possibilities to speak openly in uneasy conditions of social, political, religious and cultural restrictions all over the world.
