This plein air series was created at the outskirts of my home village Mikhailovka in the Far East of Russia during the very hot summer week in August 2021. My idea was to use only one aquarelle color, indigo, and a bunch of different brushes. I see the essence of what I did here as a shamanic act of a deepest unity with nature while trying to catch the feeling of a scenery with abstract and primitive strokes my hands were making. It was more of a performance where I am the only spectator. This is the act of creation which is similar to listening to the most complicated symphony – being alone in the whole world and at the same time – united with every living creature.
